TUV Product Service has acquired a new facility in Segensworth North, Fareham, incorporating offices and a test area, located within a single 4000m2 building and set within 10,500m2 of land. Over the next 12 months, TUV Product Service plans to relocate the majority of its current activities in Southern England to the new site, which will become the new UK headquarters for the company, offering a one-stop service in one single building. Having all core services under one roof reinforces TUV Product Service's and BABT's position as the leading provider of one-stop test, compliance and certification solutions.

Jean Louis-Evans, Managing Director of TUV Product Service and BABT states: "The opportunity to move to modern, state-of-the-art premises provides us with the opportunity to offer all our services under one roof, with improved accommodation for our customers and an enhanced service, particularly in terms of speeding up the turnaround of work".

"Revising the layout of test platforms in a modern environment will streamline our workflows, and allows us to establish a more flexible scheduling system, so that we can deliver shorter lead times, quicker reporting and a faster throughput of jobs".

"Following a successful 50 year history this significant investment will provide us with a solid platform from which to offer our customers the assurance and service that they expect in a fast-paced global environment".

In order to minimise any disruption for customers, the move will be staggered over a period of 12 months, and TUV Product Service will use its test facilities at Havant, Bearley and Maplewood to guarantee service continuity and a seamless service during the transition period.

The laboratories in Bearley and Maplewood, and the BABT office currently located in Hersham, will continue to operate as regional facilities following the completion of the move next summer.
