Utilising a dual modulation technique, the new TB6539F/N is believed to be the first PWM motor controller IC able to generate a sine wave output without the need for an additional external microcontroller.
The new device also features a built-in dead time function, which allows safe operation of the power FETs in push-pull configuration.
Available in a choice of 24-pin DIL or SOP30 packages, the TB6539F/N operates from a maximum supply voltage of 18V and has a maximum output current rating of 20mA.
Power dissipation is specified as 1.75W when mounted on a PCB, and the device has an operating temperature range of -20 to +85C.
Typical applications include air conditioning units and domestic appliances.
