Trident has announced the introduction of the ECM-LX800D 3.5in single board computer (SBC) to its range of embedded solutions.

A modified version of the Avalue ECM-LX800 board, this SBC offers 256MB of onboard RAM with the option to upgrade to 512MB, eliminating the need to install system memory.

The ECM-LX800D also features an optional built in touch-screen interface to support a four, five, or eight-wire touch screen.

The SBC can be powered by a wide voltage range of +10V to +28V enabling usage in a broad range of industrial applications.

With a 500MHz AMD Geode LX800 processor at the heart of the board, supported by an AMD CS5536 companion chip, the ECM-LX800D is a fanless solution, and when utilising the onboard Compact Flash socket it provides a complete non-mechanical solution.

Offering two 10/100Base-Tx Ethernet ports, two USB 2.0, two COM ports (one of which is RS-232/422/485 compliant) and PC/104 expansion, the ECM-LX800D fulfills connectivity and further expansion criteria.
