The ASPs support all of TI's new software offerings which includes encoders, decoders and other algorithms, such as on-screen display libraries.
All of the software has been heavily-tested and validated on TI's DaVinci technology, TMS320C6000 and TMS3205000 DSP platforms, therefore, each can be rapidly integrated into TI-enabled product designs.
TI's initial group of ASPs was selected for the programme given their expertise in digital media product designs and proven customer service records.

As long-time members of TI's Third Party Network, each ASP has demonstrated its proficiency and leadership in leveraging TI's hardware and IP to deliver high quality solutions to OEM customers.
The list is comprised of providers that will deliver support worldwide for any TI customer.
'TI's Third Party Network has consistently proven to be an extremely valuable asset to our customers and the selected Authorised Software Providers will ensure a support structure that further extends services to OEMs requiring complex digital media designs', said Brian Jeff, Worldwide Software Marketing Manager, TI.
'We are fortunate to have a broad base of providers that will be able to support TI's products in a range of applications'.
These ASPs are able to support complete software implementation and development of end equipments, such as portable media players, IP videophones, IP set-top boxes and video surveillance systems.
As the market and need for additional expertise grows, TI will work with other third parties to expand the list of ASPs.
Beginning today, customers who are interested in using TI's software may contact TI to obtain software for free evaluation and receive guidance for selecting an ASP for support.
Customers may evaluate software at no charge through a simple click-wrap licence and receive four free hours of support from the ASP of their choice.
Following the evaluation period, customers can license the software directly from their ASP, who will provide ongoing direct production support.
