Texas Instruments will showcase the first public demonstration of its Hollywood mobile DTV single-chip solution at the 3GSM World Congress next week in Barcelona, Spain.

Texas Instruments will showcase the first public demonstration of its Hollywood mobile DTV single-chip solution at the 3GSM World Congress next week in Barcelona, Spain Visitors to the TI booth (Hall 8 Stand B14-B15) will experience live broadcast TV from the DVB-H network in Barcelona

The demonstration includes TI's DTV1000 Hollywood single-chip solution, TI's OMAP2420 device, PacketVideo's pvTV client solution and Silicon and Software Systems' (S3's) onHandTV DVB-H CBMS software stack.

The DVB-H standard provides a living room TV viewing experience in the palm of your hand and can achieve average 1.5 second channel switching time; 30-plus channels of live TV programming, audio content and pod casts; a long battery life of 3.5h-plus; and up to 30 frames per second delivery speed.
