Amplifiers aim for
precision signal conditioning
A new series of 12V, zero-drift operational amplifiers are ideal for high-precision, power-sensitive applications requiring stability over time and temperature
Targeted applications include temperature measurement, medical instrumentation, precision strain gages, handheld test equipment, electronic scales, automotive systems and battery-powered instruments. 'The OPA734 and OPA735 zero-drift amplifiers feature the industry's lowest supply current in the higher voltage power supply range, enabling customers to achieve high-precision designs in the low-power, high-voltage market', said Tadija Janjic, Strategic Marketing Engineer of TI's high-performance amplifier products.

'These devices are also excellent for high-precision applications that are migrating from higher supply voltage designs to +/-5V'.
The OPA734 and OPA735 families use auto-zeroing techniques to provide low offset voltage (5uV maximum) and near zero drift over time and temperature (0.05uV/C maximum).
Additional features include low quiescent current (750uA maximum), low bias current (200pA maximum), 1.6MHz bandwidth and rail-to-rail output swing within 50mV of the rails.
The OPA734 family includes a shutdown mode allowing the device to be switched from normal operation to a standby current that is less than 9uA and the output placed in a high-impedance state.
The OPA734 and OPA735 operate on single or bipolar supplies from +2.7 to +12V (+/-1.35 to +/-6V).
All versions are specified from -40 to +125C.
The OPA734 (single version with shutdown) comes in SOT23-6 and SO-8 packages.
The OPA735 (single without shutdown) is packaged in SOT23-5 and SO-8.
The OPA2734 (dual with shutdown) comes in MSOP-10 and SO-8 packages.
The OPA2735 (dual without shutdown) is available in MSOP-8 and SO-8.
The OPA734 and OPA735 are priced from $1.25 in 1000-piece quantities; the OPA2734 and OPA2735 are priced from $2.00 in 1000-piece quantities (suggested resale pricing).
All devices are available now from TI and its authorised distributors.
