A new family of LDOs features the industry's highest power supply rejection ratio and ultralow noise for 200mA, noise-sensitive applications with negative voltages

A new family of low-dropout linear regulators (LDOs) features the industry's highest power supply rejection ratio (PSRR) and ultralow noise for 200mA, noise-sensitive applications with negative voltages. The highly accurate, low-power LDOs support battery-powered applications including portable charge-coupled device (CCD) cameras and PDA displays, and applications with noise-sensitive circuitry such as optical drives, optical networking and video amplifiers.

The new TPS723xx high performance regulators exhibit 60uV (RMS) output noise, and provide a PSRR of 65dB at 1kHz to prevent noise coupling from the power supply.

The devices are capable of operating with input voltages of -10 to -2.7V, and support output voltages ranging from -10 to -1.2V.

The TPS723xx LDOs are stable with small, low-cost ceramic capacitors, and include enable and noise reduction functions.

In addition, the highly accurate devices use a precision voltage reference to achieve 1% initial accuracy, and 2% over load, line and temperature variations.

The TPS723xx LDOs are available today in five-pin, small SOT-23 packages from TI and its authorised distributors.

Suggested resale pricing in quantities of 1000 units is $1.05.
