Texas Instruments has set up a Connectivity Developer Network made up of independent companies that support its portfolio of high-performance connectivity solutions

Texas Instruments has set up a Connectivity Developer Network made up of independent companies that support TI's 1394a/1394b (FireWire), USB, PCI CardBus, PCI Bridges, DVI and UART portfolio of high-performance connectivity solutions. 'TI has the broadest variety of interface products on the market, enabling us to provide customers with the best-fit solutions for their individual design needs', said Robert Pace, Marketing Manager of TI's Catalog Interface Solutions group.

'The Connectivity Developer Network offers hardware and software tools, consulting and applications support, giving customers additional ways to evaluate and design with TI's connectivity products.

These additional resources empower customers to choose the interface solutions that get their products to market faster, at lower cost and with improved functionality and features'.

One of the new network partners, Jungo Software Technologies, is offering a driver development package that provides USB hardware access and fast development of high-performance USB device drivers.

'TI is a recognised leader in USB chipset development, supplying to a wide cross-section of industries with a large range of applications', said Ophir Herbst, General Manager of Jungo's Software Tools Division.

'By providing software to support TI's connectivity devices, Jungo enables its customers to simplify device development cycles, improve performance, and accelerate time to market'.

Mindready Solutions, another Connectivity Developer Network member, provides mission-critical IEEE1394a/1394b (FireWire) software, hardware, platforms, bundles and engineering services.

'TI was first to market and continues to lead in technology and product development for 1394.

The partnership between TI and Mindready allows the 1394 standard to evolve faster both technically and commercially', said Roger Paradis, Sales and Marketing Vice President at Mindready.

'Ultimately, both companies' customers benefit from enhanced design possibilities and proven 1394 applications to capture the opportunities of this high growth market'.

Intelligraphics, a leading provider of device driver and system level development services, has also joined the network.

'Intelligraphics is pleased to work with Texas Instruments to provide custom driver solutions for the diverse needs of TI's customer base', said Stuart Sikes, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Intelligraphics.

'As TI's connectivity products are deployed in increasingly diverse products, Intelligraphics offers a highly available, highly skilled resource pool which can be deployed rapidly to quickly complete customers' device driver needs'.

Connectivity Developer Network member benefits may include access to certain TI roadmap information, channel opportunities, and sales communications collaboration.

Network members providing specific strategic solutions are invited to participate in advanced network levels with benefits that may include software development tools, use of a Connectivity Developer Network logo and early access to new product samples, evaluation boards and documentation.

Applying for membership in the Connectivity Developer Network is quick and easy with online forms on the TI website.
