Programmable terminator supports SPI-5
Texas Instruments has developed the industry's first 27-line programmable low voltage differential (LVD)-only SCSI terminator to support the Ultra640 (SPI-5) standard
The UCC5696 allows a termination impedance to adjust to the bus loading using an I2CT communication interface, enabling the bus to adjust to the number of disk drives installed in the system. TI's UCC5696 terminator uses nominal settings on power up that are compliant from SPI-2 to SPI-4 standards for impedance and bias, and programmable settings, which are used for SPI-5 and beyond.
