General Bandwidth runs VoIP on TI DSP
General Bandwidth has chosen TI's latest voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) solution for its next-generation G6 packet telephony migration platform
With this current agreement, a next generation General Bandwidth product will be based on the TNETV3010 solution, comprised of TI's ultra-high-performance TMS320C55x DSP cores and Telogy Software products. This advanced highly scalable architecture enables service providers to more cost effectively deliver voice services over packet networks.

TI's TNETV3010 solution suite combines hardware and software-based functionality on an optimised architecture, with the appropriate combinations of programmable, low power TMS320C54x and TMS320C55x DSP engines, RISC processors, internal memory, hardware accelerated features, and system interfaces utilising proven library components.
The TNETV3010 is a complete system-level solution, featuring the industry's most comprehensive VoIP product suite addressing high-density applications, with field proven carrier class features delivered by Telogy Software products.
