Higher performance for
audio volume controller
Texas Instruments describes the PGA2310 as the industry's highest performance audio volume control IC
Featuring 120dB dynamic range, 0.0004% distortion (THD+N), -126dB interchannel crosstalk and +/-15V analogue power supplies, the PGA2310 improves system performance in professional audio applications such as digital mixing consoles, multitrack recorders, broadcast studio equipment, high-end A/V receivers, effects processors, musical instruments and high-end car audio systems.

The PGA2310 is a high-performance digitally controlled analogue audio volume control which offers independent control over two audio channels via a serial control interface.
Other features include a wide gain and attenuation range of +31.5 to -95.5dB with 0.5dB steps, zero crossing detection and a mute function.
The PGA2310 operates from +/-15V analogue power supplies enabling the device to process large signals (input/output voltage range of 27V peak-peak), thereby preserving the dynamic range available in the overall signal path.
Incorporating internal high-performance operational amplifiers, the PGA2310 yields low noise and distortion while providing the capability to drive large (600ohm) loads directly without buffering.
A three-wire serial control interface allows for connection to a variety of host controllers and also supports daisy chaining of multiple PGA2310 devices.
The PGA2310 is available now in SOL-16 and DIP-16 packages.
Suggested resale pricing starts at $6.95 in 1000 piece quantities.
