Wilhoite brings startup experience

Telairity Semiconductor has added John Wilhoite to its executive team as Chief Financial Officer.

Telairity Semiconductor has added John Wilhoite to its executive team as Chief Financial Officer. Reporting to Howard Sachs, Telairity's founder, President and CEO, Wilhoite has served as CFO for several technology companies since leaving a senior management role with Price Waterhouse. His career highlights include stays at Intergraph Corporation, a publicly held company with international operations; Integrated Defense Technologies Corporation, which he guided through an IPO in 2001 and sale in 2004; and several startup companies.

'John's span of experience as a CFO is exceptional for our industry', Sachs said.

'It ranges from taking technology startups through their IPOs to managing finances, mergers, and banking relationships for some very large multinational players'.

'His ability to work with small companies and grow them, combined with his many years in leadership roles at major corporations, will be instrumental for our success as Telairity begins a new stage of rapid growth'.

Wilhoite's experience is particularly rich in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, public companies and IPOs, high-tech and international businesses, and developing relationships with investment bankers, stock analysts, and lenders.

'Telairity has positioned itself well with a seasoned management team, committed investors, and breakthrough HDTV encoding solutions that are being released at just the right time to make a major impact on the broadcasting industry', Wilhoite said.

'I am looking forward to working with all of the Telairity team members with the goal of growing the company into the premier supplier of complete solutions for high-definition video encoding and other demanding video and imaging applications'.

A Certified Public Accountant, Wilhoite currently serves as a director of two startup technology companies, and holds an honours degree in accounting from the University of Tennessee.
