Telonic Instruments, Kikusui's UK distributor for over 30 years, has recently introduced to the UK market the new TOS6200 earth bond tester to complement its lineup of electrical safety testers. The TOS6200 is designed to measure low resistance at high test currents (up to 30A) in accordance with the requirements of various international safety standards. Tests are performed using a new constant current circuit, eliminating the need to reset the test currents even in the face of fluctuating resistance values.

The test can be performed using a four-wire measurement or a two-wire technique with the aid of a subtraction circuit to compensate for test lead resistance at a selectable test frequency of 50 or 60Hz.

The test time duration can be set from 0.3 to 999s, making it ideal for production line testing.

Other features include storage of 100 test conditions and a window comparator system for pass and fail judgements.

The TOS6200 can be interfaced via GPIB/RS232 or the I/O signal port, which are fitted as standard.
