New from Teko is the Squid series of handheld enclosures. These attractive pocket size cases have been designed for housing remote control electronics. Typical applications will include RF and infra-red remote control systems, medical and wellness devices, detection units, personal security equipment etc.

Squid cases consist of three parts, the top and base mouldings and a clip-on battery compartment lid.
The integral battery compartment will accept two 1.5V AA cells or a 9V cell.
The cases are assembled by three self-tapping screws.
Internal PCB screw pillars are provided in the top and base parts.
The external dimensions are 100 x 60 x 21mm.
Optional features include solid ABS or infra-red end panels, a top panel aperture with one, two or three pushbutton mouldings, and a recess in the top panel for fitting a membrane keypad or product label.
Squid cases are moulded ABS (UL94HB).
The standard colours are light grey, RAL 9018 or black, RAL 9004.
The pushbutton mouldings are in blue, RAL 5010.
Teko can supply the Squid enclosures with additional holes for pushbuttons, connectors and displays etc, plus silk-screen printed legends and logos, and EMC shielding.
The cases can also be moulded or painted in alternative colours.
Standard prices start at GBP 5.61.
