Teko has extended its Tekal range of handheld aluminium enclosures with the new Tekal-T series

These tough handheld cases have a narrow hand grip section and wide display section in the popular T case format. Typical applications will include machine controllers, robot programmers, mobile data recorders, test and measurement devices and medical equipment. Tekal-T cases consist of two extruded aluminium case sections, the hand/keypad section and the display section.

These are assembled together by a tough ABS connecting frame and ABS end panels are fitted at either end.

All parts are mounted by self-tapping screws.

The case extrusions are painted with fine texture powder paint in either off-white RAL 9002 or black RAL 9004.

The moulded parts are light grey RAL 9018 or dark grey RAL 7012.

The external dimensions are 265 x 106 x 46mm.

The cases can be ordered with or without a battery compartment which will accept two 1.5V AA cells or one 9V cell.

Tekal-T cases also feature internal guide rails for mounting PCBs, and a recessed area on both sides of the extrusions can be used for mounting membrane keypads or product labels.

The end panels are also recessed for keypads, or to protect the connectors and switches.

Volume prices start at GBP 20.

On request, Teko can provide these cases fully finished with all holes, slots and silk screen printing - ready for final assembly of the electronic components.
