Time to market pressures exist everywhere throughout the supply chain for electronic components and products.
Customers want the fastest, easiest to use tools for design and debug of the latest applications.
The fastest hardware can be hampered if it is not matched with equally sophisticated software.
TLA Application Software version 5.0 runs on Windows XP Professional and Windows 2000 and is compatible with previous Tektronix logic analysers including the TLA5000 series as well as TLA715 and TLA721 mainframes.

'With the sophistication, speed, and complexity of electronic designs in the marketplace, it's more important than ever to match fast hardware with equally impressive software', said David Bennett, Vice President, Logic Analyser Product Line, Tektronix.
'With industry-first drag-and-drop triggering, automated measurements and a re-engineered user interface, the new TLA Application Software version 5.0 is the most advanced and easiest to use logic analyser software in the market'.
'Version 5.0 provides customers with the best available performance and productivity'.
TLA Application Software version 5.0 automates many of the measurement tasks that were previously accomplished manually.
New measurements such as edge count, frequency, pulsewidth and channel-to-channel delay are available for logic analyser data, similar to what is currently provided for DSO data.
This industry-first gives development teams faster answers needed to validate and debug their designs.
Drag-and drop triggers also simplify the task of isolating problems and data of interest.
This feature allows users to simply drag common trigger events, such as trigger on a rising edge or a bus value, from a palette of choices and drop them into the waveform window.
The new software provides a more intuitive user interface and simplified navigation to reduce the steps required to perform standard tasks.
A new tabbed TLA Explorer window allows single-click navigation to the window of interest, such as the trigger, setup, or waveform window, and means users spend less time navigating and more time solving problems.
Usability enhancements have been made to the waveform and listing windows providing even greater insight into the user's data.
