The combination of Tektronix instruments and the open nature of NI TestStand software gives customers a platform to rapidly characterise new products and bring them to market faster
Software has scope for ultrawideband testing
Package extends the debug and analysis capabilities of DPO/DSA70000 oscilloscopes to include real-time analysis of ultrawideband RF and electrical signals
The 50-seat modern laboratory was designed to allow students to conduct analogue, digital design, circuit, microprocessor and control experiments.
The philosophy employed when designing and setting up the laboratory was to equip each bench with a computer that controls the oscilloscope and a function/signal generator using leading third-party software.
This enables students to learn and employ the concepts of modern experimentation easily and effectively.

HDMI compliance tests come up to date
Tektronix reckons it now offers the most complete and cost effective test suite for performing HDMI 1.3b compliance testing
Internet connections to each bench are also provided, which allows students to prepare and submit lab reports via the network and to use Internet resources while they are in the lab.
The framework requires digital storage oscilloscopes that have a computer and printer interface, FFT maths and high sampling rate.
"The cost effective solution was the Tektronix TDS2002 oscilloscope with the TDS2CMAX communication module".
"It provides all the necessary features required for the desired application areas: in particular, the communication module and its ability to work at high sampling rates of 1Gsample/s", commented Dr Tarik Reyhan, Senior Lecturer in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Bilkent University.
"It also proved to be a more cost-effective option when compared to the competition".
"Tektronix' education programme that supported the purchase was also an advantage when setting up the lab".
"We are pleased that our focus on test and measurement packages for educational establishments has been so well received, as today's young engineers and students are tomorrow's project leaders and chief technical officers", commented Neil Huddlestone, Vice-President, EMEA Sales at Tektronix.
"As the world's leading supplier of oscilloscopes, we are very happy to be able to support important education establishments, such as Bilkent University".
The oscilloscopes at Bilkent University, purchased through Tektronix' Turkish Channel Partner - Gate Elektronik - include eighty TDS2002s, one TDS2024, twenty-one TDS1002s and eighty-one TDSCMA communication modules.
