Worldwide responsibility for Kyas
Othmar Kyas has joined Tektronix as Worldwide Director of Marketing for its Monitoring and Protocol Test (MPT) business
In his new position, Kyas is responsible for providing strategic direction and managing operations for the worldwide MPT marketing organisation. He will be focused on understanding customer requirements in order to define solutions that leverage Tektronix' world-class expertise in protocol analysis and that increase profitability and efficiency to mobile network operators and manufacturers.

Kyas joins Tektronix after spending more than 14 years at Agilent Technologies.
Most recently, he worked as Director of Marketing for Agilent's Network Test Division, where he led the product marketing, marketing communications and strategic marketing teams.
Prior to holding this position, Kyas held a variety of sales and marketing assignments at Agilent with focus areas in product marketing and strategic product development, competitor analysis, customer potential analysis, process definition, pricing and price negotiations, and the development of acquisition strategies.
Kyas is an internationally recognised author of several best-selling books covering a variety of communications subjects (Internet, intranet, network security, ATM and LAN).
In addition, he has published a number of articles in leading industry publications.
Kyas holds an MBA from the University of Colorado, and received his BSEE from the Technical University of Vienna, Austria.
