Agnes takes charge of protocol testing

Bob Agnes has been appointed as Vice President of the Tektronix Monitoring and Protocol Test (MPT) business.

Bob Agnes has been appointed as Vice President of the Tektronix Monitoring and Protocol Test (MPT) business. In his new role, Agnes is responsible for worldwide operations and the strategic development of the company's monitoring and protocol test solutions. Tektronix' MPT business addresses the design verification, deployment, monitoring, and management of mobile networks and infrastructure.

The K12 series protocol testers and the NET-GPRS monitoring system are leading examples of Tektronix' instruments in this market.

Agnes most recently held the post of Vice President, Video Business where he led the acquisition of Adherent Systems and was chartered with applying the business' core competencies to opportunities created by the convergence of video and communications.

Prior to his work with the video business, Agnes was US Director of Strategic Markets for the company's Measurement Business, where he defined and built the marketing and sales organisation focused on key strategic accounts including Intel, Motorola, Lucent, and Nokia.

Agnes started his career at Tektronix in 1985.

Agnes holds an MBA from George Fox University.

His undergraduate degree is in software engineering from the University of Connecticut.
