Tektronix has signed authorised rental partner agreements with the two leading electronics rental and leasing companies in Europe

Tektronix has signed authorised rental partner agreements with the two leading electronics rental and leasing companies in Europe: Livingston and Microlease. Rental and leasing are increasingly being seen as essential components in the product marketing mix, especially for higher-value items like logic analysers, top-end oscilloscopes and specialised communications test equipment.

Customers undertaking specific research projects may wish to acquire a piece of test equipment for a matter of weeks or months, while others may require short-term replacements for equipment that is unavailable because of essential repairs or maintenance.

"Partnership agreements with the two major pan-European specialists in this area allows Tektronix' customers to benefit from a variety of rental, leasing and contract-hire arrangements, resulting in flexible solutions to their short and long-term procurement requirements", said David Carew-Jones, European Director of Marketing, Tektronix.

"Both Livingston and Microlease operate internationally, and have many years of experience in the test and measurement industry.

They have their own calibration facilities, and work closely with instrument suppliers on collaborative programmes of training, marketing and customer support.

Extensive warehousing enables them to carry sufficient stocks of equipment including the latest products such as the Tektronix TDS6604 the world's fastest oscilloscope".

Baz Hartnell, European Sales Director for Microlease commented, "For many years Tektronix customers have been benefiting from Microlease's rental and contract hire services.

We are delighted to now be working with Tektronix to offer customers an integrated approach covering all methods of acquiring test and measurement equipment".

Mel Porter, Chief Executive of Livingston said, "Most of our global customers are looking for a one stop shop source of supply, covering a wide variety of services and products.

Working in partnership with Tektronix, we can provide our mutual customers with the technologies that they need, in the way that they want, be it leasing or rental".
