RadioMobil, a division of Deutsche Telekom Group, has invested $4 million in Tektronix' complete mobile network monitoring system for nine sites in all major cities throughout the Czech Republic

Enhancing quality of service (QoS) and reducing customer churn are top priorities for network operators. To ensure QoS and to retain subscribers who can easily switch providers, operators must strive to provide a faultless network. To be successful, network operators must have complete control of their network's performance implementing solutions to guarantee a comprehensive view of the entire system in real-time.

RadioMobil has selected Tektronix' NET-7 monitoring system to address these needs and to specifically identify and troubleshoot faults in the network as they occur, minimising and even preventing QoS and degradation issues.

"With the competitive environment in the wireless industry, network operators need monitoring tools that enable subscriber retention and maximum profits.

Tektronix' NET-7 gives operators such a tool", said Johannes Schaedel, vice president, Mobile Business Unit, Tektronix.

"With features such as protocol analysis and call trace and with the ability to serve as a business tool for various marketing, customer service and security personnel, the NET-7 offers a complete monitoring solution for network operators".

"We chose the Tektronix' NET-7 based on many factors, including its compatibility with our existing Tektronix' K1205 protocol tester and the quality of local customer support they are able to provide", said Heinz Schmid, technical director, RadioMobil.

"Also figured into our decision was the price/performance ratio of the NET-7.

We know we're getting a great solution for a great price".
