Teradyne's Design-to-Build (D2B) Software V3.0 features a significantly enhanced version of D2B Strategist, the distributed test management software that enables electronics OEMs, contract manufacturers, and their partners, to accelerate products to market and reduce the cost of test development.
Teradyne D2B software is a unique, modular environment that streamlines the free flow of product information throughout the design-to-manufacturing progression, it eliminates unnecessary data transfer and data manipulation steps, and allows customers to develop successful test strategies on their PC, early in the design cycle before ever stepping onto the production floor.
D2B provides an industry first by providing distributed test management across multiple test and inspection platforms, such as automated optical inspection, automated X-ray inspection, flying probe, and in-circuit test platforms.

0 include: accurate predictability of test time and test yields of a selected test strategy; feedback from Teradyne test and inspection platforms verifies fault coverage; calculation and analysis of test strategy effectiveness in catching defects; and D2B/ECO - a completely new module that provides the ability to compare two revisions of a PCB assembly by performing checks to see if components have been added, removed, or modified.

D2B/Strategist is a unique decision-making software solution that enables the deployment of complementary test strategies and the ability to run multiple "what if" scenarios in seconds.
Users can develop optimised test strategies based on existing or proposed test and inspection systems.
Once a distributed test strategy has been determined, Strategist generates the desired test and inspection program across multiple test and inspection platforms.
Strategist determines the test and inspection effectiveness of a multitude of strategies and provides feedback of actual fault coverage, test time and yield from Teradyne test and inspection platforms.
D2B/A3 used to translate CAD designs, import bill of materials data, optimise data for selected manufacturing equipment, assign test probe locations and output customised files.
D2B A3 accepts data from more than 30 different CAD design formats and generates programs for a wide variety of both Teradyne and non-Teradyne test and inspection equipment.
D2B/DesignView provides schematic viewing and linking of logical and physical design data.
The graphical viewer can simultaneously update both schematic and physical information whenever the user selects a component or signal, enabling the simple browsing of complex design data.
D2B/ECO allows the comparison of two revisions of the same PCB assembly by performing checks on each board to see if components have been added, removed, or modified between the two revisions.
D2B/GenCAM Viewer enables the viewing of GenCAM design data files in an intuitive, graphical manner.
