TDK Electronics Europe has introduced two new chip ceramic resonators targeting the home appliance and industrial sectors. The CCR-MXC8 and CCR-MUC8 are designed for low frequencies, and offer high reliability even in tough environmental conditions. The CCR series are thin-type ceramic resonators, which use fundamental thickness-share mode vibration.
Two capacitors are built in the baseboard, thus simplifying the oscillating circuit.
This helps to achieve stable oscillation across a broad temperature range.
The layout pattern on the CCR series is compatible with other major suppliers.
The CCR resonators are suitable as the clock source for microcontrollers, ADCs/DACs and DSPs in home appliance devices such as washers, cookers and refrigerators as well as in industrial machine and process systems.
The CCR-MUC8 comes in the 4020 size (4.0 x 2.0mm) and caters for low frequency applications in the range 4-7.99MHz.
The CCR-MXC8 is offered in the smaller size of 3213 (3.2 x 1.3mm), available in the frequency range 8-11MHz.
Both parts are developed using TDK's expertise with original piezoelectric materials and packaging.
The components are fully RoHS compliant and now available from TDK Electronics Europe.
