Protection device incorporates
two in one
The latest addition to the TDA range of SMD overcurrent protection devices incorporates two matched low-resistance PPTC elements in a single package
The TSF4PS Series is based on ceramic technology, but the limited volume of the ceramic body means that reaction times are well within current requirements. Some line-card applications, such as tip-and-ring circuits, require two such devices as well as additional components to compensate for the relatively wide tolerances from one PTC device to another.

Packaging protects protective devices from reflow
TDA Elektronic Technology has improved the base cover used in all its CPTC devices to further meet the temperature resistance requirements of Pb-free processing
But with ever-greater pressure to pack more functions and features onto telecomms boards, while also leaving space for cooling, the time is right for new surface-mount PTCs that can deliver real space savings.
The TSFP4S Series incorporates two matched low-resistance small-size PPTCs into a single ceramic housing with minimal attenuation of data transmission and low line impedance.
The new TSFP4S Device offers a maximum interrupt fault voltage rating of 600V AC.
Other specifications include holding current at 250 to 400mA with resistance ranges from 0.7 to 8ohm maximum.
Typical applications include xDSL and SLIC line cards.
The TSF4PS Series are available in Pb-free format. Request a free brochure from TDA Elektronic Technology....
