Tyco Electronics has released what it reckons is the smallest GPS SMD module on the market for a very aggressive price.

The miniaturised footprint of 19 x 15mm allows the module to fit in almost any schematic.

Tracking sensitivity of -151dBm guarantees reliable position information for all outdoor applications.

The GPS NMEA Module A1037-A will be available for Eur 9.90 net for a hard order of 30,000 units per year by November 2006.

Evaluation kits and samples will be deliverable in August.
