Development platform aids GPS integration
The Nemerix EK 2040 is an ARM9-based development platform that helps customers incorporate Nemerix's chipsets and software solutions into their own products
Nemerix has unveiled new technology that will expand the company's development focus in North America and around the globe. Last week Nemerix announced that Lionel Garin, the former Director of Systems Architecture and Technology for SiRF Technologies, has joined Nemerix as CTO. Garin will be based in Santa Clara, California, where he will lead a number of new development initiatives designed to help Nemerix's customers reduce the time, effort and cost required to incorporate world-class GPS solutions into handheld mobile devices.

The EK 2040 development kit helps OEMs, ODMs and third party partners dramatically reduce the effort required to integrate world-glass GPS solutions into an array of handheld mobile devices, and get them to market quickly.
It includes hardware circuitry for testing, a GPS-active antenna, PC tools, GPS software, a software development tool chain for Windows or Linux, documentation sets, and numerous user applications samples.
The Nemerix EK 2040 developer codifies Nemerix's systems-level expertise, and packages it up in a manner that helps customers replicate the Nenerix design into their own offerings.
Nemerix is currently working with dozens of top-tier OEMs ODMs and third party partners.
