Altium has announced the appointment of Emma Lo Russo to the newly created executive position of President and Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately.

This move is a reflection of Altium's continuing growth and is designed to further support the company's strategic development plans.

Lo Russo joined Altium in 2004 and advanced through a broad range of roles, most recently serving as Chief Operating Officer.

As President and Chief Operating Officer, she will be responsible for the management and development of the entire Altium organisation, driving key business projects and leading company-wide growth initiatives.

"This is an exciting time of growth for Altium", said Nick Martin, founder and CEO, Altium.

"We are, first and foremost, a technology company whose sole mission is to help engineers build great electronic products".

"The creation of this new position, combined with Emma's high-energy, well demonstrated leadership and proven capacity for execution, is critical to ensure we continue to develop and grow an organisation that supports this as our number one goal".

The creation of this executive management position comes at an important time for Altium.

Having recently reported significantly improved financial performance following an intense, multi-year technology and product development programme, the company is in the process of executing a broad range of organisational and people development initiatives to ensure it is well positioned to fulfil its high-growth potential.
