STMicroelectronics has a new quad high-side intelligent power switch (IPS) - the VNI4140K - which is produced using the latest generation of ST's VIPower technology to achieve a 50% saving in on-resistance compared with earlier devices with the same die size The dramatic reduction in on-resistance and quiescent current saves energy through lower losses, with device power consumption lower than any competitive product, and achieved at lower cost
