Viewport is a USB powered adapter which provides a fast, simple way of connecting another monitor to a computer to expand the available workspace.

Everyone has experienced the limitations of monitor space, but a new device from Steadlands enables the addition of a second monitor while operating them both as a single unit.

Viewport is a USB powered adapter which provides a fast, simple way of connecting another monitor to a computer to expand the available workspace.

Ideal for notebook users, Viewport transmits video data through the USB port allowing the user to drag and drop text or images from reference material into a working document, seamlessly join two projection monitor images for a panoramic display, maximise working area by parking pallets, tool bars, and directories out of the way and keep tutorials, help, or reference files visible while learning new software.

Viewport will also open a spreadsheet across both screens, display live data and keep a favourite screen saver or slide show running while working.

Using Windows 2000/XP, the device prefers USB 2.0 but will also work with USB 1.1 and uses less than 5mA at 5V DC.

The size of a mouse, Viewport is plug and play using its own supplied software and is FCC Class B, CE, VCCI and C-Tick (ACA) certified.
