Sharp unveils high-resolution CCD sensor
Sharp has introduced the RJ33J3AA0DT CCD sensor for security cameras that provides a resolution of 1.3 megapixels.
This CCD sensor is suitable for cameras at airports, railway stations and other busy places where it is vital to digitally zoom in on individual sections of the panoramic shot as required, in order to show details such as faces in sharp definition.
The high image reproduction quality of the CCD sensor is based on its high sensitivity of 400mV.
The low smear factor of -105dB provides clear images and eliminates smear effects caused by intensive light.
The integrated blooming suppression also plays a crucial role.
With progressive scan technology, the RJ33J3AA0DT also provides sharp images with flowing movements of rapidly moving objects.
At full resolution of 1.3 million pixels, the sensor can capture 22 frames per second.
In the four pixel mixing VGA mode, the recording speed reaches 30 frames per second.
Using progressive scan recording technology enables the images to be fed directly into computer-supported TCP/IP-based networks or processed by analogue systems.
