The diversifEye 4200 is a new compact chassis offering true, customer quality of service (QoS) network experience testing in one easy to use and portable test system. The diversifEye 4200 has already been deployed by major service provider customers in Japan in addition to existing customers in Europe, North America and Australia. IP oriented network service providers are introducing new business class broadband services such as Metro Ethernet and an array of delay sensitive applications such as multicast video, VoIP and subscription based streaming media services that coexist with existing response time sensitive web applications.
Therefore, there is an increased demand for integrated network and applications QoS test systems.
The new diversifEye 4200 offers portability and ease of use with full access to all features of the original larger chassis diversifEye.
Client installation takes just two minutes and the typical initial training period is a few hours from install to running first tests.
The test chassis measures 2U in height and can also be easily mounted within a standard 19in rack.
With a choice of test interfaces including Fast Ethernet and gigabit Ethernet combined with field replaceable components, the diversifEye 4200 is ideal for lab, in-network and field based test applications.
Commenting on the introduction of the new diversifEye 4200, Shenick's primary channel partner in Japan, Mitsui and Co Network System Department's General Manager, Yoshifumi Nakata, said: "The arrival of the Shenick diversifEye 4200 has been much anticipated by our major service provider, integrator and network equipment customers, and has been very well received in the Japanese market, already evidenced by increased sales".
Shenick's Chief Marketing Officer, Robert Winters said: "There has been a traditional reliance on an assorted array of layer 2-4 test equipment coupled with disparate, non-integrated systems to also assure application layer integrity.
Shenick addresses the increasing market demand for portable, combined network and application layer test equipment with a uniquely integrated solution offering true customer QoS experience testing on a per service, per application flow basis".
