The DRDC Series is a new family of ultra-compact DIN-rail DC power suppressors, available in 7, 12, 24 and 48V configurations. The DRDC Series protects two pairs of DC power/signal lines and uses only nondegrading silicon diodes to provide continuous bipolar protection on low-voltage DC power lines, 4-20mA current loops, low-frequency data lines as well as fire alarm and security circuits. "Many industrial customers had been wanting to move to silicon suppression for its' response time and nondegrading characteristics.

But an even smaller and lighter product was needed", said Tim Morehead, Automation Sales Director at Transtector.

"We now offer them a silicon solution in an extremely efficient configuration".

The DRDC Series suppressors each measure 100 x 12.5 x 100mm and weigh 56.7g.

The units mount on standard EN5022 DIN 35 type rail and feature screw terminals that accept 28-12AWG wire.
