The PDS Series is a new line of surge protection devices for the data lines of oil and gas sensors, metering devices and transmitters. Housed in a standard 1.27cm stainless-steel threaded conduit coupling, the suppressor is designed for pass-through or end-to-end direct wire hook ups. The PDS Series uses a rugged two-stage hybrid suppression circuit that combines gas tube suppression with Transtector's custom silicon diodes, making it ideal as a lightning arrestor and a low voltage surge suppressor.
Using Transtector's specialised silicon also enables the PDS Series to provide the lowest data impedance while still offering the highest surge protection available.
The PDS Series is compatible with all models of DP field transmitters and 4-20mA measurement or process control instrumentation.
