International Rectifier has introduced a series of robust single-channel high-voltage integrated circuits for a wide range of applications including motor control, lighting, switch mode power supplies, industrial and welding, and solar panel battery chargers Compared with optocouplers, the IRS2117/8 family of 600V high-side single-channel driver ICs provide lower input current of 40uA and an output signal of 0 to 15V to reduce part count and simplify circuit design
