International Rectifier has introduced a HEXFET power mosfet with a maximum temperature rating of 200C in a TO-220 plastic package The IRF1704 is an extremely rugged, low RDS(on) HEXFET power mosfet manufactured using IR's stripe planar technology and is ideal for existing and emerging automotive applications, such as electric power steering (EPS), electro-hydraulic power assisted steering (EHPAS), electric braking and electric valve operation, as well as window lift control, wiper motor and fuel and water pump control circuits
