Electrical certification expands to NSW

SGS can now certify electrical goods for sale anywhere in Australia

The New South Wales Office of Fair Trading has confirmed that electrical goods certified by SGS can now be sold in NSW. In May 2004, the Joint Accreditation Service of Australia and New Zealand (JAS-ANZ) accredited SGS Electrical Product Certification Services (EPCS) as a third party certification body to issue either a Certificate of Approval for prescribed electrical equipment that is proven to comply with the requirements of the applicable Australian Standard, or a Certificate of Compliance for nonprescribed electrical equipment that is proven to comply with the requirements of the applicable Australian Standard for which the application has been made.

Energy Safe Victoria approved the EPCS service in November 2005.

The additional accreditation for New South Wales effectively allows SGS to certify electrical goods for sale anywhere in Australia. Request a free brochure from SGS....
