'The goal of the WTF project is to further empower our employees by instilling lean principles and supportive skill sets into our organisation', explained Sager Director of Human Resources Karen Renzi.
'By effectively using the WTF grant, we are able to build on Sager's culture of continuous improvement where operational excellence is consistently practiced, technology platforms are maximised and increased efficiencies are sought'.
'The synergies created throughout the project will help Sager remain a competitive leader in a fast-moving, ever-changing market', Renzi continued.
Sager's training programme will be co-ordinated by Renzi and her staff.
Additionally, Sager has sought the expertise of external consultants to assist in formalising the programme, including the MA Manufacturing Extension Partnership, BU's Corporate Education Center and Baker Communications.
These organisations have helped Sager develop specific training offerings to align its needs within the lean methodology.
