SBE has developed a "low profile" version of its popular wanADAPT-1T1E1 adapter card.
Available by the name of wanADAPT-1T1LP, the new version delivers a low profile PCI T1/E1 solution that has a much smaller PCB footprint that its predecessor.
The redesign of the original adapter was a result of customer demand for operation in a variety of thin or narrow enclosures, used in network appliances or vpn devices.
The reduced size of the new wanADAPT-1T1LP enables deployment in both standard PCI slots and in systems with space limitations near the expansion bus.
By reusing the original card design (and compressing it into a smaller space), the wanADAPT-1T1LP benefits from use of all existing SBE drivers without the need for modification.
Because the wanADAPT-1T1LP is a "fit-and-function" match to its predecessor, SBE will phase out the wanADAPT-1T1 and begin shipping the wanADAPT-1T1LP in early October 2002.
Once the new product begins shipping, the wanADAPT-1T1LP will be available with a standard height front panel and a short height front panel on request.
The new list price for the wanADAPT-1T1LP is $560.00.
