State of the Art has a new line of high-reliability high-power chip resistors using thin film on aluminium nitride.
The new components have a maximum power rating five times higher than conventional chip resistors.
Devices are available with a choice of two termination styles: ground isolation style features a solderable solid bottom pad and two solderable top surface terminals; and ground connect style features a single wraparound connecting the resistor to a solderable bottom pad, with a single top surface pad for the other connection.
The high-power resistors are available in values from 10ohm and 1kohm, with available tolerances of +/-0.1% and a temperature coefficient of resistance to 50ppm.
A variety of case sizes is available from 1206 (0.125 x 0.65in) to 3838 (0.375 x 0.375in).
These compact, lightweight, high-power designs are ideal for high-current pulse applications such as power supplies, and are suitable as microwave terminations.
Thin film design makes them ideal for applications where current noise is a consideration.
Aluminium nitride is a low-toxic alternative for use in programmes requiring environmentally friendly products.
Reliable operation is assured by State of the Art's considerable experience and rigid quality controls.
Additional high reliability screening can be provided to further enhance reliability.
Pricing is under $1.00 in production quantities.
Current delivery is stock to 8 weeks ARO.
