Sasken and Datang
to accelerate TD-SCDMA
Sasken Communication Technologies and Datang Mobile Communications Equipment have entered into a TD-SCDMA software module codevelopment agreement
Under the agreement, Sasken and Datang will jointly collaborate on TD-SCDMA protocol stack development for the realisation of third-generation networks and handsets, which are expected to be rolled out in China by mid 2003. Sasken has already provided a number of wireless network and terminal equipment manufacturers with W-CDMA and CDMA2000 solutions and will now work with Datang to cover its third-generation TD-SCDMA network equipment and terminals.
