O'Donoghue in the chair again
Brian O'Donoghue, Strategic Marketing Manager of Sarel, has been elected Chairman of the GAMBICA Electrical and Electronic Enclosure Group.

Brian O'Donoghue, Strategic Marketing Manager of Sarel, has been elected Chairman of the GAMBICA Electrical and Electronic Enclosure Group. In his new role, O'Donoghue's primary task will be to support the association's efforts in addressing product, technical and standards issues relating to enclosures, so as to produce maximum benefits for enclosure users and manufacturers alike. "I'm delighted to have the opportunity of serving our industry in this way", said O'Donoghue, "especially as this is a time of such rapid change in the world of enclosures, with new products being introduced apace, particularly in the telecommunication and other infrastructure-related sectors.
I will be working hard throughout my period as chairman to help enclosure users get the best from these developments, and to reinforce the perception of GAMBICA membership as providing the industry-standard seal of approval for enclosure manufacturers".
GAMBICA's enclosure group currently has 14 members.
Its work covers general-purpose IP-rated enclosures for electrical and electronic equipment, manufactured from mild-steel, stainless-steel, plastic, GRP and aluminium, along with mounting accessories and internal fittings.
Its primary functions mirror those of the GAMBICA organisation as a whole, and include participating in the development of national, European and international standards, as well as providing specialist advice and market intelligence to member companies.
Brian O'Donoghue has worked in the enclosure industry for more than 13 years and, during this period, he has been actively involved with the introduction of many new ranges of enclosure products to the UK market.
He has been a member of the GAMBICA enclosures group for 13 years, and this is his second stint as chairman, having previously held the post over ten years ago.
