Saft has been awarded a major multiyear contract by the US Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) to supply the US Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps with a family of lithium sulphur dioxide (Li-SO2) batteries. The terms of the contract include six Li-SO2 batteries for several portable military applications such as communication, GPS and rescue systems.
