Adapter adds serial
comms options to PC/104
Sealevel Systems has expanded its PC/104 product line with the SIO.104+2, a dual-port RS232/422/485 interface adapter
Designed to meet the core needs of PC/104 applications requiring high reliability, small size, and long term availability, the SIO.104+2 is available in both standard and extended temperature range models. Conforming strictly to the PC/104 specification, the SIO.104+2 provides two RS232/422/485 ports, allowing field-selectable connection to a variety of real-world devices.

The SIO.104+2 is designed using the XR16C850 UART, which supports standard PC datarates and boasts a top speed of 460.8Kbit/s.
The SIO.104+2 provides a 128byte FIFO, 16 times larger than boards designed with 16C550 parts, to allow error free operation even in high-speed applications The SIO.104+2 ships with Sealevel Systems' SeaCOM suite of Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP drivers.
Sealevel also includes WinSSD, a full-featured application providing powerful testing and diagnostic capabilities.
In addition to Windows drivers and utilities, SeaCOM includes drivers, utilities, application notes, and technical details to simplify installations in DOS, QNX and Linux.
The SIO.104+2, part number 3502, is available immediately from stock.
