The new MP 176065 lithium-ion (Li-ion) cell from Saft provides higher performance with more energy and power and improved charge/discharge characteristics at low temperatures. The new cell is targeted at a range of new electronic design markets, including military, medical, communications, instrumentation and tracking applications, which will for the first time be able to exploit the benefits of rechargeable lithium-ion technology.
Saft derived the key performance parameters for the new MP 176065 cell from an analysis of market trends combined with the demands of customers who called for increased energy and power as well as improved charge and discharge characteristics at low temperatures.
The result is a cell which offers: 6.8Ah capacity when charged at 4.2V and +20C; 2C continuous drain capability with maximum 4C peak; discharge possible down to -50C at a rate of C/5; and a large charging window from +60C down to -20C. Request a free brochure from Saft Lithium Battery Division....
