The snap-fit Pfannenberg filter fans incorporate a pleated fabric filter and louvre design that allows IP55-rated airflow.

RS Components has released Pfannenberg's fourth-generation filter fans and EBM-Papst's ACmaxx axial fan range.

The snap-fit Pfannenberg filter fans incorporate a pleated fabric filter and louvre design that allows IP55-rated airflow.

Its design enables water and dust separation to take place in the lamellas ensuring, the majority of water and dust never reaches the filter mat, extending the system's lifetime and reducing maintenance requirements.

Pfannenberg's "click and fit" design eliminates the need for fixings, providing hardware-free installation and filter mat changing.

Five sizes are available, offering eight IP54 variants with filter capabilities set to the improved G3 specification and seven IP55 options capable of G4 level filtration.

Each version can be obtained in an EMC edition.

The fan features a new, four-corner locking/fastening system and the terminal is a cage-clamp design that can be altered through 90 degree step turns to accommodate differing wiring directions.

The units in the range are completely reversible to either introduce or extract air from the enclosure.

Provision has been made for mounting a thermostat on the rear face of all exhaust filters to reduce energy consumption.

The IP55 variants are also UV-stable, making them suitable for use in outdoor applications without any extra protection.

The cutouts are compatible with the previous generation and with those used by major competitors.

In contrast to conventional AC technology, the modern drive concept of the ACmaxx fan series is not linked to a fixed power frequency.

As a result, the motor speed can be increased, enabling the fans to provide significantly higher airflow and increased pressure.

These fans can be adapted to suit the requirements of individual applications from standby mode and overload mode at peak times to night reduction and temperature-controlled quiet operation.

Made from fibreglass-reinforced plastic, the fans incorporate a PBTP housing and PA impeller.
