RS Components UK has been named as Harting's leading Global Catalogue Distributor of the Year for 2004.

RS Components UK has been named as Harting's leading Global Catalogue Distributor of the Year for 2004.

The award recognises RS' impressive sales results for Harting connectors and RS' close alignment with Harting's sales strategy.

This success follows last week's achievement when RS was named Distributor of the Year at the 2004 European Electronics Industry Awards, held in Munich.

Commenting on RS' achievement, Simon Asbury, UK Sales Manager at Harting, said: "Harting is highly focused on bringing the right technology to its target markets".

"This award has been given in recognition of RS' close understanding of our strategy, its focused approach and impressive sales results for Harting connectors".

"We are confident that this success will continue as we extend the Harting connector offering into the RS catalogues bringing our products to more customers worldwide".

Collecting the award, Kevin Thompson, RS Group General Manager, Product Management said: "We are delighted to receive this award from Harting".

The award was presented to RS by Margrit Harting, Partner and Senior Vice President, Harting Technology Group.

Harting is a long-term supplier of electronic and industrial connectors to the RS catalogue.
