RS tops Schaffner distribution league

Schaffner EMC has named RS Components as its distributor of the year for 2003.

Schaffner EMC has named RS Components as its distributor of the year for 2003.

The award recognises RS's impressive sales growth of 40% over 2002 as well as original design-in work and wide ranging promotional activities.

At the presentation of the award, Michael Lowe, Managing Director of Schaffner, commented: "In orders and sales growth for Schaffner, RS Components has been consistently at or near the top of the list of our distributors.

We have been especially impressed with the way RS Components has embraced new and innovative Schaffner products.

This attitude to innovation has seen RS top the list with customised filter applications.

Special promotions such as open days, trade counter days, Internet marketing and the faithful RS catalogue also made a powerful argument for this award".

Schaffner's Marketing Manager Andrew Kotas added: "As in the past, we have based the award on a number of criteria ranging from overall sales and year-on-year growth to design-in work, training and marketing initiatives.

RS Components has excelled in all these areas and in addition has doubled the number of Schaffner products it now stocks".

Accepting the award, Kevin Thompson of RS Components said: "We are delighted to receive this award from Schaffner.

It demonstrates the on-going commitment RS has in developing its supplier partnerships and supporting the electronics industry".
