Rohm has launched a family of high-accuracy, low-current reset ICs that will prevent system errors during the transient states that can occur when CPUs and logic circuitry are switched on and off or when system voltage fluctuates. The BD47xxG reset IC family consists of 28 devices that offer typical detection voltages starting at 1.9V and increasing, in 0.1V increments, to 4.6V. The ICs have a typical current consumption of just 1.5uA and are supplied in ultra-small SMP5 packages measuring just 2.9 x 1.6mm.

Capable of accurately detecting system voltage levels to within 2%, each reset IC features power, GND and reset output pins.

The ICs will output a reset signal when a transient state, voltage fluctuation, short-circuit condition or other problem with the supply voltage is encountered.

Ideal for any equipment that incorporates CPUs and logic devices, the small size and low power consumption of the new BD47xxG ICs makes them particularly suitable for PDAs, hand-held test equipment and many other compact, battery-powered portable products.
