The R and S FSU67 performs harmonics measurements in one go without requiring any modifications to the test setup.

The R and S FSU67 from Rohde and Schwarz extends the upper frequency limit in spectrum analysis from 50 to 67GHz.

This eliminates the need for external harmonic mixers.

Featuring a continuous frequency range starting from 20Hz, the R and S FSU67 also performs harmonics measurements in one go without requiring any modifications to the test setup.

Other outstanding characteristics of the spectrum analyser include high measurement accuracy without unwanted products, and excellent RF performance.

It is suited to developers and manufacturers of microwave components such as oscillators, short-haul microwave links in the range of 52 or 58GHz, local transport radio systems in the 60GHz band, as well as aerospace and defence applications.

Measurements above 50GHz previously called for an external harmonic mixer in addition to the spectrum analyser.

Moreover, results needed to be corrected by the user, who had to identify and eliminate the multiple response signals introduced by the mixer.

The analyser allows users to perform spectrum measurements such as harmonics or spurious measurements from 20Hz to 67GHz in a single sweep without an external mixer.

This solution simplifies the test setup and operation and does away with external components and the associated cabling, eliminating potential errors.

Compared with test setups that include external mixers, the FSU67 also offers the benefit of a wider level range with a higher reference level.

The FSU67 features the same excellent RF performance characteristics as the other members of the RandS FSU spectrum analyser family.

Its noise floor is as low as -152dBm (at 1Hz bandwidth and 2GHz) and -130dBm (at 1Hz bandwidth and 67GHz).

It offers a wide range of filter characteristics with resolution bandwidths from 1Hz to 50MHz, as well as comprehensive measurement functions for accurate power measurements even on broadband signals.
