Rohde and Schwarz has enhanced the R and S FSQ signal analyser and the R and S FSU and FSP spectrum analysers to encompass high speed uplink packet access (HSUPA) analysis.

Rohde and Schwarz has enhanced the R and S FSQ signal analyser and the R and S FSU and FSP spectrum analysers to encompass high speed uplink packet access (HSUPA) analysis.

The R and S FS-K72 and FS-K74 application firmware packages for analysing UMTS basestation signals and R and S FS-K73 for analysing RF signals of UMTS user equipment provide high speed downlink packet access (HSDPA) functionality.

And they now also offer extensive functions for transmitter measurements on HSUPA basestations and modules.

Rohde and Schwarz is thus supporting the introduction of the new standard at a very early stage.

The R and S FS-K74 option is integrated into R and S FS-K72 and provides modulation measurement capabilities for HSDPA and HSUPA signals in the downlink.

The R and S FS-K73 expansion covers HSDPA and HSUPA signals in the uplink.

HSUPA will provide the same advantages in the uplink as HSDPA does in the downlink - including higher datarates, increased throughput and reduced access times.

HSUPA will also permit datarates of several megabits per second.

The R and S FS-K72, FS-K73 and FS-K74 application firmware packages with HSUPA extension are now available from Rohde and Schwarz.
